The Expedition Report (Download bottom of page)

Mike Warner has been researching claims of large reptiles since 1985. Most of the research has focused on areas in and around the Amazon basin.

Mike's collective knowledge and research data makes him one of the leading experts in world regarding giant snake theory and Mokele-mbembe.

More recently satellite photographs of two separate sites in the Peruvian Amazon were commissioned which led to the Warner Amazon Expedition in March 2009.

The Team were  based in Iquitos and aerial surveys took place over two key sites.

  1. Napo/Amazon confluence and the amazing discovery of the Yacumama or Giant Anaconda

  2. Deep into the Pacaya Samaria Reserve in search of the Sirrush or Mokele-mbembe, the living dinosaur

The expedition was privately funded and included Mike’s son Greg Warner in the preparation, execution and subsequent data analysis resulting in the theories and conclusions contained in this document.

This report focuses on site 1 contains some of the most compelling photos & comprehensive research data available today.
